BTS is once again proving their unmatched impact—not just in music, but in design, creativity, and emotional storytelling.

Their pop-up event “BTS POP-UP: MONOCHROME” has officially won the main prize in the Brand & Communication Design category at Germany’s 2025 Red Dot Design Award, one of the world’s top three design competitions.

The Red Dot Design Award, established in 1955, is considered one of the most respected awards in the world, alongside Germany’s iF Design Award and the U.S.'s IDEA. The 2025 award ceremony will take place in Germany on November 7.

So what made BTS's Monochrome pop-up so special?

The experience was created around the idea of “memory clouds,” with the goal of delivering BTS memories to ARMYs worldwide.

It first opened in Seoul in April last year, and over the next year, it traveled to 9 global cities, including Tokyo, Jakarta, Bangkok, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Manila, and Hong Kong.

In total, it drew around 270,000 visitors—proving just how strong BTS’s global fanbase really is.

But Monochrome wasn’t just a photo zone or merchandise shop. It was a carefully planned interactive journey.

Online, fans could follow clues through a themed website, while offline, the pop-up space served as the final destination where visitors stepped into a world of BTS memories, stories, and visuals.

Fans walked through curated photo galleries and video rooms, fully immersed in BTS’s message of connection, love, and shared moments.

The project was praised for creativity, quality, and emotional design, all key factors in winning the Red Dot Award.

BTS has always gone beyond the usual when it comes to pop-up events—whether they’re group-based or solo, their exhibitions have explored album themes, personal growth, and heartfelt stories.

These spaces have become more than events—they're touchpoints where ARMYs can feel closer to BTS, no matter where they are in the world.

With this global design win, BTS once again shows that their artistry goes far beyond music—it's a full emotional experience, crafted for fans everywhere.
