Red Velvet’s Wendy is officially making her solo comeback this September, and fans are already counting down the days!
On July 24, her new agency Ascend shared, “Wendy is currently preparing for a solo comeback scheduled for September. It’s her first solo release in a while, and she’s working hard on it, so please show lots of love and support.”
This marks Wendy’s first comeback in about 1 year and 6 months, following her second mini-album ‘Wish You Hell’ which dropped in March 2023. It's also her first release under Ascend, after she parted ways with SM Entertainment back in April, making it an even more meaningful return for fans.

When ‘Wish You Hell’ was released, Wendy proved her global popularity by topping the iTunes Top Albums chart in 21 countries and also landing at #1 on China’s QQ Music digital album sales chart.
Aside from music, Wendy has been showing her charms in many ways. She’s been active in variety shows, radio, and even her own YouTube content. She wowed viewers with her strong live vocals on KBS 2TV’s ‘Music Delivery: Sing Anywhere’, and gained praise for her smooth MC skills on ‘Today’s Wendy.’
Wendy originally debuted with Red Velvet in 2014, and is loved for her role in creating hits like ‘Ice Cream Cake,’ ‘Red Flavor,’ ‘Psycho,’ and ‘Cosmic.’
Fans are now excited to see what new side Wendy will show through her upcoming solo music!
