Girls' Generation’s Yuri is taking on a whole new role — as a yoga instructor!
On July 23, a stray dog shelter’s official account announced a special donation-based yoga class led by none other than Girls’ Generation member and actress Kwon Yu Ri.
The post introduced the event by saying, “Girls’ Generation’s Yuri, actress Kwon Yu Ri — this time, meet her as yoga instructor Kwon Yu Ri,” and unveiled the class titled “Donation Yoga with Kwon Yu Ri.”

The event will take place on July 26 from 2 PM to 4 PM in Jeju City. The participation fee is 50,000 KRW (around $35–40), and the full amount will be donated. Anyone can join as long as they register in advance and bring their own yoga mat.
The shelter added, “Beginners are very welcome. Due to limited space, we might have to limit the number of participants. Only those who sign up in advance can attend. Entry for reasons other than yoga may not be allowed,” encouraging everyone to join for a good cause. “Let’s share good energy and make a positive impact through yoga and love.”

Fans are loving Yuri’s thoughtful move, as she uses her platform to help stray dogs through something as peaceful as yoga. In the poster for the event, Yuri looks every bit like a professional yoga teacher, dressed in sporty wear with a calm and confident vibe.
Even Lee Hyo Ri, who’s known for her love of yoga and rescuing animals, gave a big thumbs up by liking the post — showing her quiet but powerful support.
This beautiful project shows another side of Yuri, reminding everyone that idols can lead with kindness and purpose too.
