Rookie girl group ILLIT is proving that their growth isn’t just luck — it’s hard work and passion.
On July 18, ILLIT (members Yun A, Min Ju, Moka, Won Hee, and Iro Ha) shared behind-the-scenes footage that surprised fans. In the video, the members were seen running on treadmills while singing — a vocal training method to help them sing better even during powerful dance routines.
The clip was part of a special behind video for their follow-up track "Jellyous" from their 3rd mini album BOMB. The training helps them build stamina and sing live more clearly while dancing. Their dedication has paid off, with fans praising their stable live vocals and smooth performances on music shows.
In fact, fans have been talking about how much ILLIT has improved. Even with non-stop choreography, their voices stayed strong — showing just how much they’ve practiced. In a previous dance practice video, the members impressed viewers with perfect timing, even syncing their steps to the beat.
The group also showed strong vocal skills during promotions for their title track "Do the Dance (Borrowed Cat)." In another behind-the-scenes video, the members were seen recording the song while carefully following vocal directions from the producer. Won Hee, who sang in French, was even praised by a native speaker for her clear pronunciation.
ILLIT’s success is going global, too. Their mini album BOMB landed on the Billboard 200 in the U.S., making all of their albums chart since their debut. The title track "Do the Dance (Borrowed Cat)" is still climbing charts even a month after release.
Fans can catch ILLIT’s stage for "Jellyous" on MBC Show! Music Core on July 19. Then, Yun A, Moka, and Won Hee will appear on SBS Power FM Park So Hyun's Love Game on the 20th, where they’ll share their bright energy with listeners.
