BTS’s Jimin continues to prove his global superstar status with another jaw-dropping Billboard record!

According to the latest Billboard chart (dated July 12), Jimin’s solo track “Who” ranked #108 on the Global 200 and #66 on the Global Excl. U.S. — marking its 50th week on both charts. That’s nearly a full year of charting, making “Who” one of the longest-running K-pop solo songs ever.

Previously, “Who” made headlines by hitting #1 on both the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, shortly after its release on July 19, 2023. And now, with 50 weeks strong, it joins Jimin’s mega-hit “Like Crazy” as one of only two songs by an Asian solo artist to chart this long on both rankings.

“Like Crazy” already made history as the first song by a K-pop soloist to reach #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, and it still holds the record for longest charting K-pop solo song — with 61 weeks on the Global 200 and 68 weeks on the Global Excl. U.S. chart.

With “Who” now following right behind, Jimin becomes the first and only Asian solo artist to have two songs chart for 50 weeks or more on both Billboard global charts — and he did it with no Western collaborations, just his own artistry and sound.

But that’s not all — Jimin’s second solo album “MUSE” also hit a major milestone this week by spending 50 consecutive weeks on the Billboard World Albums chart, ranking #11 this week. That makes Jimin the only Asian solo artist in history to have two albums, “FACE” and “MUSE”, each chart for 50 weeks or more.

“MUSE” also helped Jimin break another record: he’s now the first K-pop soloist to reach #1 on Billboard’s World Albums chart 8 times! Add that to his 5 times at #1 with FACE, and Jimin now holds a total of 13 #1s on the chart.

From making Hot 100 history to setting new records week after week, Jimin is truly rewriting what it means to be a K-pop solo artist on the global stage.
