Heo Nam Jun may already be lining up another major project following his recent rise in popularity.
On August 14, his agency H.SOLID responded to reports that the actor had been offered a role in the upcoming drama Currency Reform.
The agency kept its response cautious, stating, “It is a project he is currently reviewing.”
This means Heo Nam Jun’s appearance has not yet been confirmed.
Currency Reform is based on the Kakao Webtoon of the same name. The story centers on Yoo Il Han, a man who has lived a difficult life before unexpectedly learning about the death of a father he never knew and receiving a chance to inherit 1 trillion won.
Heo Nam Jun has reportedly been offered the lead role of Yoo Il Han. The drama is also said to be under consideration for broadcast on SBS.
The casting report comes as Heo Nam Jun continues to build momentum following his appearance in SBS’s Brave New World, where his romantic comedy chemistry with Lim Ji Yeon drew attention from viewers.
He is currently filming tvN’s upcoming drama Whale Star, making Currency Reform a possible future project if discussions are finalized.
Heo Nam Jun is also preparing to meet fans through his first fan meeting at KBS Arena in Seoul on August 22, followed by a Tokyo event on October 12.
For now, attention is focused on whether the actor will officially accept Currency Reform and take on the unusual story of a man suddenly facing a 1 trillion won inheritance.
