BTS members V and Jungkook are drawing attention after speaking about an uncomfortable late-night encounter with fans at a hotel gym during the group’s overseas tour.

During a recent fan platform livestream, the two members recalled going to the gym at around 2 a.m. while staying at a hotel in the United States.

According to V and Jungkook, they were surprised to find around 20 people inside despite the very late hour.

They questioned the situation, saying, “During the tour, we haven’t really seen people working out at this time. Does this make sense?”

The members appeared to believe that some of the people may have entered the gym mainly to see them rather than to exercise.

V kept his comments relatively light but asked people to respect their personal space. He said, “If we help you with dieting or bulking up, that’s actually a good thing,” before adding, “But don’t just stare.”

Jungkook made a similar request, saying, “Don’t look at us. If you’re going to lift a dumbbell, lift it. Look at the exercise equipment.”

The situation became more uncomfortable when one person reportedly approached V after Jungkook had already left the gym.

V then mentioned that the person had appeared in footage recorded at the gym, saying, “The fan wearing green was caught on camera. You’ve been recorded.”

Although the exchange was delivered partly in a joking tone, V and Jungkook’s comments made their message clear: they wanted fans to avoid interfering with their private time and to respect boundaries outside official schedules.

BTS is currently continuing its world tour, with upcoming performances scheduled at AT&T Stadium in Arlington and Rogers Stadium in Toronto.
