BTS’s Jimin has done it again — and this time, he’s made music history on Spotify while still in the military!

On June 23, Jimin’s second solo album MUSE officially hit 3 billion streams on Spotify, becoming the fastest Korean-language album ever to reach that milestone. It took just 340 days since the album’s release to achieve this incredible feat.

Not only is MUSE the first and only Korean solo album to surpass 3 billion streams, but it’s also the only K-pop album released in 2024 to do so — a massive achievement that proves Jimin’s unbeatable global impact.

The album’s title track Who has been leading the charge, racking up a jaw-dropping 1.791 billion streams. The song also charted on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 for 33 weeks, all while Jimin was serving in the military, showing just how powerful his presence remains.

Other songs from MUSE are also performing impressively. The fan-dedicated track Closer Than This, released after Jimin enlisted, has 283 million streams. Be Mine follows with 254 million, and Smeraldo Garden Marching Band has surpassed 226 million streams. That means four out of seven tracks on the album have already passed 200 million streams.

Even the remaining songs are close to joining the 100M club — Slow Dance recently reached 100 million streams as of May 26, while Rebirth is on its way with 96 million and counting.

Jimin’s success is ongoing. As of June 23, Who ranked No. 11 on Spotify’s Global Chart, marking its 340th consecutive day on the chart. On Spotify Korea, the song has taken the No. 1 spot 336 times, showing his unmatched popularity in both Korea and around the world.

Even while serving in the military, Jimin continues to prove he's a record-breaking force in K-pop and global music.
