Actress Gong Hyo Jin is officially celebrating her husband Kevin Oh’s return from the military—complete with flower shoes, balloons, and lots of love!
On June 17, Gong Hyo Jin uploaded a short video on her social media, with no caption, but the message was clear. The clip showed a dreamy outdoor space decorated with colorful balloons and giant balloon letters that read “WELCOME HOME.”
She also tagged Kevin Oh’s Instagram account, letting fans know that the celebration was for her husband’s military discharge.
On the same day, Kevin Oh shared a heartfelt message on his own social media, writing, “I’ve been discharged safely.” He looked back on his time in the military, saying, “A year and a half ago, I joined the South Korean military. I lost myself for a while, but I found myself again—healthier and more at peace than before.”
He also thanked fans who supported him, saying, “The letters and gifts you sent stayed with me through both happy and hard times. Thank you.”
Gong Hyo Jin and Kevin Oh tied the knot in New York back in October 2022, and had to be apart when Kevin began his mandatory military service in December 2023. Now, after 1 year and 6 months, they’re finally back together.
Kevin Oh’s agency also confirmed the news, saying, “Kevin Oh has officially been discharged and plans to focus on music, broadcasting, and performances to show his appreciation to fans.”
Meanwhile, fans are even more excited after Gong Hyo Jin shared on her YouTube channel that once Kevin’s service ended, the couple planned to travel in Europe and begin their new chapter together in the United States.
