Jo Jung Suk just proved he’s not only talented on screen but also smart in real estate!

According to industry insiders on June 17, the actor’s company, JS Company, sold a building in Seoul’s Daechi dong area for a massive 11 billion KRW (around $7.9 million USD) on June 4. The property had been purchased back in 2018 for 3.9 billion KRW (about $2.8 million USD), meaning Jo Jung Suk made a whopping 7.1 billion KRW in profit.

Even after accounting for the money spent rebuilding the building in early 2020, the net gain is still estimated at around 5 to 6 billion KRW — an incredible return in just 7 years.

The building is located in a prime spot near the Daechi dong academy district — one of the most competitive and high-demand areas in Gangnam. It’s just a short walk from both Daechi Station (Line 3) and Hanti Station (Shinbundang Line), making it ideal for commercial use.

The six-story building (plus one basement level) sits on 224.6㎡ of land and offers about 710㎡ of total space. It’s currently fully rented out to an English academy, with a solid monthly rent of 28 million KRW and a deposit of 150 million KRW. Experts say it brings in about a 3% rental yield.

A real estate expert shared, “Daechi dong buildings always attract stable tenants, especially academies. Demand stays high for this kind of property.” They also noted that similar buildings nearby are selling at higher rates, which means Jo Jung Suk may have sold his building slightly below market price — but still walked away with a huge profit.

Jo Jung Suk originally set up his own label, JS Company, in 2018. He later moved to JAM Entertainment in 2019, where he continues his successful acting career.

Fans are now even more impressed, calling him not just a top actor, but a real estate king too!
