Former GWSN member Seoryoung is opening up about her heartbreaking past as she takes the stage on the survival music show UNDERCOVER.
ENA's UNDERCOVER has quickly become a hit, climbing into the "Top 10" rankings on major streaming platforms since its premiere on January 12. The show features talented cover artists who reimagine popular songs, all competing to be crowned the best.
In the January 19 episode, Seoryoung—introduced as a member of a "tragic girl group abandoned by their company"—shares her emotional journey.
She revealed, "I debuted in 2018, but due to the company’s poor circumstances, we were essentially abandoned". Her group’s struggles, which led to legal troubles, earned them the unfortunate label of “ex-convicts”.

Soryeong's story touched UNDERCOVER mentor Kwon Eun Bi, who empathized deeply, saying, "I’ve experienced a disbandment too, so I completely understand how this feels”.

Despite her nerves, Seoryoung delivered an emotional performance of Kwon Jin Ah’s ‘Lucky’, leaving Kwon Eun Bi momentarily speechless and viewers curious about her future on the show.
Another performer, Kim Ye Chan, also shared her own hardships. Kim, who debuted with the acapella group Awesome Baby in 2015 and later with the girl group Pink Fantasy in 2018, was introduced with the eye-catching tagline: "Two Girl Group Debuts, Zero Income."
Kim explained that she currently works part-time at a barbecue restaurant while chasing her dreams. She poured her emotions into a powerful performance of Park Hye Won’s ‘Like Pouring Water on Withered Flowers’, moving both the judges and contestants to tears.
Fans are eagerly anticipating the next episodes of UNDERCOVER, which airs every Sunday at 7:40 PM, showcasing raw talent and emotional stories that are leaving viewers hooked.
