BTS's Jimin has reached an incredible milestone with his song "Who"! It has surpassed 800 million streams on Spotify, making it the fastest record for any Asian solo artist. As of October 18, "Who" has a total of 800,311,415 streams.
This amazing achievement happened just 92 days after the song's release, making it the only K-Pop song in 2024 to hit 800 million streams.
Jimin's record beats the previous mark of 254 days set by Japanese artist Joji with his song "Glimpse Of Us," setting a new standard for Asian solo artists.
Even while serving in the military, Jimin's "Who" has been doing very well in the global music scene. It ranked first on Spotify's "Global Daily Top Songs" chart for 20 days as of October 22 and stayed in the top 5 for over 90 days, amassing over 832 million streams.
Jimin's second solo album, "MUSE," which includes "Who," has become the best-selling K-Pop solo album in the U.S. based on pure album sales in 2024.
As of October 22, "MUSE" has also surpassed 1.5 billion streams on Spotify. This makes Jimin the first K-Pop solo artist to have two albums—his first solo album "FACE" has over 2.4 billion streams—each with more than 1.5 billion streams on the platform.
"Who" is celebrated for its captivating vocals and smooth groove. In its 13th week after release, it ranked 38th on the UK's Official Singles Top 100 and 32nd on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
Jimin continues to shine as a representative K-Pop artist, making a name for himself in the U.S. and U.K. without relying on collaborations with big-name artists.
