From July 30 to August 2, Jin's song was number one on Shazam’s 'Japan TOP200' chart. This marks an impressive total of 337 days at number one for the track.
"The Astronaut" first reached the top of the Shazam 'Japan TOP200' chart on April 5 and stayed there the next day. It then reclaimed the top spot on June 7 and held it until June 10.

The song also led the chart from June 21 to June 25, showing strong streaming performance.
As of August 3, 6 AM, "The Astronaut" has surpassed 17 million Shazams, with a total of 17.04 million, earning it the title of 'Shazam King.'
Jin has also gained fame with two solo tracks holding over 13 million Shazams: "The Astronaut" and his first solo OST "Yours."

Upon its release, "The Astronaut" entered the Shazam 'Global TOP 200' chart and stayed at number one for 129 days. This beat the previous record of 102 days held by "Yours," making it the longest-running number one K-pop track in history.
Jin is the only K-pop solo artist with two tracks reaching number one and has set a record with 60 consecutive days at the top.
Released on October 28, 2022, "The Astronaut" was a collaboration with Coldplay, including joint composition, lyrics, and performance. Even almost two years later, it remains popular and continues to break records.
On Spotify, "The Astronaut" has accumulated over 468.49 million streams as of August 3, 6 AM.
Jin is also making headlines globally, having participated in the torch relay for the 2024 Paris Olympics right after his military discharge, which has fans excited for his upcoming solo album.
