• Jin's Military Discharge Celebrated with Love from BTS Members, RM Surprises with Saxophone Performance

Jin, the eldest BTS member, is back after completing his military service as a sergeant.

On the 12th, at 8:30 a.m., Jin officially left the Army's 5th Infantry Division Training Center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province. He shared warm moments with his fellow soldiers, bidding farewell after his dedicated service.

Jin was the first BTS member to enlist in December 2022, serving as a training instructor for 18 months. His exemplary service set a great example for his fellow BTS members.

BTS members who are currently serving in the military made it a point to attend Jin's discharge. J-Hope, RM, V, Jungkook, and Jimin were all there. RM added to the celebration by showcasing his saxophone skills. Shin Young-jae from Big Hit Music and others greeted Jin with flower bouquets.

Though Suga, currently in alternative military service, couldn't join the gathering, the members planned a small party in Seoul later to mark Jin's return.

BTS members also sent their best wishes to Jin. Outside the training center, fans displayed banners to celebrate his discharge. Jin greeted the press with a warm "Hello, ARMY!"

Later in the day, Jin is set to connect with ARMY through a live session on Weverse. Tomorrow, on June 13th, their 11th debut anniversary, Jin will meet fans in person as part of the '2024 FESTA.'

During 'Jin's Greetings,' he'll share hugs with 1000 lucky fans, and then join 'June 13, 2024, Weather Clear,' a fan meeting-like event.

Jin, the only BTS member yet to release a solo album, teased fans before his enlistment with his single 'Astronaut,' featuring Coldplay. The track reached No. 51 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, proving Jin's global influence.

Anticipation is high for Jin's solo album, expected to drop in the first half of this year, likely making waves on the Billboard 200 chart, following BTS's pattern.

Jin's discharge signifies a turning point for Big Hit Music, BTS's agency, amidst various uncertainties. BTS's return to group activities signals stability for the company, setting the stage for BTS's Chapter 2, set to begin in the latter half of next year.

With the sequential completion of military service by other members, including J-Hope, RM, V, Jimin, Jungkook, and Suga, BTS aims to reunite, creating more music for their global fanbase.
