SBS’s Flex X Cop 2 continued its upward ratings trend as Ahn Bo Hyun and Jung Eun Chae took on a complicated hotel murder case involving allegations of stalking, a secret relationship, and jealousy.
Episode 5, which aired on August 21, reached a peak rating of 8.2%. The episode also recorded a 7.0% average in the Seoul metropolitan area, while its highest rating among viewers aged 20 to 49 reached 2.4%.
The latest case begins when concierge employee Oh Min Young is found dead inside an apparently empty room at the Rosebud Hotel on White Day.
Jin Yi Soo, played by Ahn Bo Hyun, and Joo Hye Ra, played by Jung Eun Chae, quickly notice several unusual details surrounding the room and begin questioning hotel employees and people who knew the victim.
As their investigation continues, they learn that a wealthy hotel guest had reportedly been pursuing Oh Min Young despite being rejected. Investigators also receive information suggesting she may have been romantically involved with someone working at the hotel.
The situation becomes more complicated when rumors involving a senior figure at the hotel and his wife emerge. However, those questioned deny involvement in Oh Min Young’s death, leaving Jin Yi Soo and Joo Hye Ra with several possible suspects and conflicting accounts.
Another important clue raises questions about whether the room where Oh Min Young was discovered was actually the original crime scene.
Rather than revealing the culprit, Episode 5 ends with the investigation taking another unexpected turn, setting up a new pursuit for Jin Yi Soo and Joo Hye Ra.
With its ratings showing signs of growth, Flex X Cop 2 is building interest as the partnership between Ahn Bo Hyun and Jung Eun Chae faces another increasingly complicated case.
