• HYBE stands up for NewJeans, promises full support for comeback amidst rights issues

HYBE is stepping up to the plate for their group, NewJeans, announcing they're taking legal action over rights infringement issues.

On April 25th, HYBE made a statement on Weverse, saying, "We're letting you know about our legal response to protect NewJeans' rights. NewJeans is all set to drop a new music video on the 27th, and they've got double single releases lined up for May and June. They've got a lot going on, and we're going all out to make sure their comeback goes off without a hitch."

They went on to say, "Lately, we've seen a lot of nasty posts that are hurting our artist's rights and reputation. We're talking defamation, baseless slander, and even ridicule and belittlement. We've been legally fighting back for NewJeans regularly, but we're bringing in an extra law firm because the malicious behavior towards the members has gotten seriously out of hand."

HYBE added, "We're going to gather up everything that's infringing on the artist's rights to protect NewJeans and take every legal step we can. We're sticking to our principle of zero tolerance, no leniency, no agreement, just like we always have, and we're going to come down hard."

They wrapped up by saying, "We're planning to support the artist in every way, both materially and emotionally, for their psychological healing and emotional stability. We're begging you to stop the reckless attacks and belittlement towards the artist."

In other news, Min Hee Jin, the head of ADOR who's under suspicion of trying to take over HYBE, held an emergency press conference in Seocho-gu, Seoul, where she spoke for about two hours.

Right after Min Hee Jin's press conference, HYBE responded, "There's so much in what Min Hee Jin said at the press conference today that's just not true, it's hard to list it all. She's proven she's not fit to be a manager, and we're calling on her to step down right away for the sake of ADOR's normal operation."
