Just one day before stepping back into court for their ongoing legal fight with ADOR, NewJeans took time to show their love for fans.
On June 4, NewJeans updated their independently managed social media with a warm message and a cute photo. They wrote, “We read your letters yesterday, and our hearts felt so warm. We started missing you. So we just came by.”
In the photo, the members were seen doing a cute cat shadow pose with their hands — a trendy pose that fans instantly recognized. But what really caught attention was the timing: this sweet post came just one day ahead of their second court hearing with ADOR.
The next hearing is set for the morning of June 5 at the Seoul Central District Court. This is part of the lawsuit ADOR filed to confirm the validity of their exclusive contract with NewJeans.
To recap, back in November last year, NewJeans held a surprise press conference and announced that their contract with ADOR had already been broken and canceled. They even introduced their new group name, NJZ, and started promoting independently.
However, ADOR didn’t back down and responded with a lawsuit, saying, “Just saying that trust is broken doesn’t mean the contract is canceled.”
At their first court hearing, both sides clashed heavily, and NewJeans firmly stated they had no intention of returning to ADOR.
Now, all eyes are on what will happen next — but even during a legal storm, NewJeans continues to show love to their fans.
