• CL Explains The Secret Planning Behind 2NE1's "Coachella" Performance + Her Feelings After The Stage

CL (Lee Chae Rin) confessed that she had prepared the stage for the group 2NE1 in secret.

In the tvN entertainment program "You Quiz on the Block", which was broadcast on the afternoon of May 25th, singer CL joined as a You Quiz.

In April, 2NE1 performed a surprise reunion stage as a whole at Coachella Valley Music & Arts (Coachella), a global music festival in the US, and stood at the center of the topic. CL, who led 2NE1's reunion stage, said, "I wanted to prepare for a surprise stage. I was afraid I'd get caught in the middle".

In response, CL confessed that she practiced choreography at the dance academy run by Gong Minzy, in secret. CL added, "The class ended at 10 o'clock and we got together at 11 o'clock to practice quietly and then took a taxi home.  I only shared it with my relatives".

When asked how the explosive response was, she said, "It was fun, it was the same even if we met freely after a long time."

Regarding the reason for keeping the secret so secret, she said, "It's a surprise," adding, "I thought wemight not be able to do well as we prepared it in a hurry, but we wanted to show it quietly."

Regarding her feelings after the stage, she said, "I really wanted us to gather up once, I was sorry that I couldn't greet fans properly because I was invited to Coachella alone at first, but I felt like it was the right time" adding , "It was a new stage and challenge for the members, and I was really grateful for the courage when I invited them".

She expressed regret that 2NE1 suddenly disbanded without notice and shared what she talked about with the members after the stage.

CL said, "Everyone in the car doesn't say anything, I think we each (quietly) tried to feel it because we know how precious it is that time, which means silence," adding, "We kept it like that, went home, ate, listened to our songs, and danced and played all day long."

CL recalled, "When Dara and Bom went the next day, I cried, and I went to the airport right away with a tearful farewell."

When Sandara Park asked CL for a video letter, she said, "I thought I wouldn't have much to say because I kept in touch so often, but we will each live our lives in our own way, but all four of us are healthy and cool in our respective ways, I hope we can meet again, I love you.."

Meanwhile, tvN's "You Quiz on the Block" is a program that depicts the travel of big Yoo Jae Seok and cute Jo Se Ho to people who leave at their will and airs every Wednesday at 8:40 p.m.

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
