• Jeon Mi Do and Kim Ji Hyun Shares That They’re Big Fan Of Son Ye Jin And They Call Her "Son Pro"

Jeon Mi Do and Kim Ji Hyun expressed their respect and affection for Son Ye Jin.

On the afternoon of February 16th, a production presentation for JTBC's new Wednesday-Thursday drama "Thirty Nine" (written by Yoo Young Ah, directed by Kim Sang Ho) was held online. Actors Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do, Kim Ji Hyun, Yeon Woo Jin, Lee Moo Saeng, Lee Tae Hwan and Kim Sang Ho attended the event.

"Thirty Nine" is a real human romance drama that deals with the in-depth story of friendship, love, and life of three friends who are just around the corner. Through the three friends, the stable happiness of ordinary daily life and the romance that blooms in the harsh reality herald healing beyond empathy.

Kim Ji Hyun took on the role of Jang Joo Hee, a department store cosmetics manager and mother-in-law, while Jeon Mi Do took on the role of Jeong Chan Yeong, who dreamed of becoming an actress, but now has an acting teacher as her job.

On that day, Jeon Mi Do said, "We are actually friends with Kim Ji Hyun for more than a decade". She said, "We were both fans of Son Ye Jin. Since we don't have much experience, there were many shortcomings. Whenever that happened, we asked her to teach us a lot by calling her ‘Sunbaenim’ and ‘Son Pro’".

Kim Ji Hyun said, "The fact that I was acting with Son Ye Jin felt unrealistic", adding, "Son Ye Jin, who I actually met, was so beautiful and I didn't know she was such a fun person while filming together".

The real-life human romance "Thirty Nine", which deals with the friendship and love of the three women, will air at 10:30 p.m. on February 16th.

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
