Following the drama's premiere, viewers began discussing the elaborate outfits worn by Shin Min Ah, who plays Empress Navier in the fantasy romance series.

While the costumes were designed to reflect the character's royal status, their surprisingly high prices have become a topic of discussion online.

One of the most expensive outfits is a mint-colored gown decorated with silver details and green embroidery.

The dress is reportedly from Lebanese luxury fashion designer Georges Hobeika and costs approximately $12,690, or around 18 million won.

Other outfits worn by Shin Min Ah also carry expensive price tags.

A black cape-style dress from eveningwear brand Jenny Packham reportedly costs $3,784, or approximately 5.4 million won.

Another light blue Jenny Packham gown featuring elaborate beadwork is reportedly priced at $4,356, or around 6.2 million won.

Despite the luxury labels and high prices, some viewers felt that the costumes did not look as expensive as expected in the finished drama.

Some suggested that the lighting and color grading may have affected how the fabrics, embroidery, and decorative details appeared on screen.

While opinions about the costumes remain divided, the discussion has brought attention to the difference between the dresses' reported prices and their appearance in the series.

Meanwhile, Shin Min Ah previously spoke about the challenges of wearing elaborate royal costumes during filming.

During a guest visit event at the Busan International Film Festival, the actress revealed that she had worn many dresses throughout production.

*"I wore so many dresses, and that was a little difficult. They weren't clothes I was used to wearing, so it was challenging,"* she shared.

However, she also appreciated the rare opportunity to dress as an empress.

*"I thought, 'When will I ever get another chance to film while wearing clothes like these?' So I worked hard during filming,"* she explained.
