BTS's Jin and TXT's Beomgyu recently enjoyed a fun outing together at a MapleStory-themed escape room, with Jin sharing photos of their experience and adding a playful caption that caught attention.
On November 5, Jin uploaded three photos to his social media account, showing himself spending time with his fellow BigHit Music artist Beomgyu.
Alongside the photos, Jin wrote, "Went to an escape room with Beomgyu (idol)."
His decision to add the word "idol" after Beomgyu's name gave the otherwise simple caption a humorous touch.
In the shared photos, Jin and Beomgyu were seen sitting together in front of the results screen at a MapleStory escape room.
The two posed with peace signs while enjoying the colorful setting inspired by the popular online game.
Behind them, the screen displayed the escape room theme Mixed-Up Ludibrium, along with their team name, "BigHit," ranking, and remaining time.
The photos were dated November 4, suggesting that the two visited the attraction a day before Jin shared their outing online.
Jin also posted a separate photo of himself posing in an outdoor area decorated with large MapleStory characters and colorful lights.
Another photo showed him alongside MapleStory director Shin Chang Seop. Jin added playful labels to the picture, identifying the director as "Game Director" while covering his own game ID with the word "Name."
The outing was especially fitting for Jin, who has openly shared his love for MapleStory over the years.
In 2022, he appeared in the game's official content series Office Warrior Kim Seok Jin, where he visited Nexon and experienced working at the company as an intern while sharing his thoughts as a longtime player.
The escape room they visited, MapleStory Escape, was developed through a collaboration between Nexon and Isang Creative. It brings locations from the online game into real-life spaces where visitors can solve puzzles and complete themed challenges.
With Jin's well-known interest in gaming, his unexpected escape room outing with Beomgyu offered a fun glimpse of the two BigHit Music artists spending time together outside their busy schedules.
