The Busan café operated by BTS member Jimin's father has announced plans to close in 2027, marking the upcoming end of a popular destination for fans who have visited the location over the years.

On November 2, the café, ZM-ILLENNIAL, shared an announcement through its official social media account, revealing that it had 365 days of operation remaining.

Alongside the message “ZM-illennial D-365,” the café stated, “As of today, ZM-ILLENNIAL has 365 days left to spend with you.”

The announcement indicates that the café plans to end operations around November 2027, approximately six years after it originally opened in 2019.

The café also expressed its gratitude to visitors and BTS fans, known as ARMY, who have continued to support the business.

“We sincerely thank everyone who has visited us, cared for us, and shown us unwavering interest and love,” the café shared.

In its message, the café reflected on the memories created with visitors, including fans who traveled long distances to experience the location.

“Every visit from those who remembered us even from far away, every welcoming smile, warm greeting, and sincere message of support has brought us happiness and precious memories beyond words,” the statement continued.

The café added that it would continue welcoming guests with care throughout its remaining year and hoped to create more memories with visitors before closing.

Originally opened in 2019 under the name MAGNATE, the café became a well-known destination for BTS fans visiting Busan because of its connection to Jimin's father.

In August 2024, the business changed its name to ZM-ILLENNIAL.

The café features BTS- and Jimin-related artwork, gifts from fans, and a guestbook where visitors can leave personal messages.

Meanwhile, the café has not publicly explained the specific reason behind its planned closure.

The announcement has also brought renewed attention to earlier reports about disagreements involving the café's operations and nearby businesses.

Previously, an overseas content creator claimed that Jimin's father had experienced difficulties involving a landlord and neighboring stores. A company holding the MAGNATE trademark later disputed allegations concerning the trademark in June.

However, there is no confirmed connection between those past disagreements and the café's decision to close.

For now, ZM-ILLENNIAL plans to continue operating for another year, giving fans and visitors an opportunity to return before the business officially ends its operations.
