Seo Kang Joon and Ahn Eun Jin are drawing attention with their painfully realistic portrayal of a couple facing changes after 10 years together in KBS 2TV’s new romance drama A Love Other Than Yours.

The series premiered on September 12 and introduced Namgoong Ho, played by Seo Kang Joon, and Lee Mi Do, played by Ahn Eun Jin, as longtime partners whose once comfortable relationship begins to feel different after a decade of dating.

A Love Other Than Yours follows a couple who know almost everything about each other but suddenly find themselves confronting unfamiliar emotions in a relationship that has lasted 10 years.

From the first episode, Seo Kang Joon and Ahn Eun Jin presented their characters less like a newly romantic couple and more like two people whose lives have become deeply connected over time.

Namgoong Ho naturally looks after small details in Mi Do’s daily life and is comfortable around her family, showing how their relationship has grown beyond simple dating. Their easy interactions helped establish the familiarity that comes with spending so many years together.

However, that same familiarity also begins to reveal problems that have quietly built up between them.

The premiere showed that Namgoong Ho had been thinking seriously about their future, while Mi Do had started questioning where their relationship was heading. Their different feelings create an emotional conflict that feels grounded in ordinary relationships rather than dramatic misunderstandings.

The story suggests that their problem is not simply a lack of love. Instead, the two appear to have reached a point where the way they understand and express love no longer completely matches.

Seo Kang Joon particularly drew attention for keeping Namgoong Ho’s emotions restrained. Rather than relying on exaggerated reactions, he showed the character’s growing uncertainty through subtle changes in his expressions, voice, and body language.

His performance moved naturally between the comfort of being with someone for 10 years and the fear of possibly losing that person.

Ahn Eun Jin’s Lee Mi Do, meanwhile, adds another perspective to the relationship by showing how someone can still care deeply for a longtime partner while questioning whether familiarity alone is enough to continue.

Together, Seo Kang Joon and Ahn Eun Jin give the drama a more mature tone, presenting a romance centered on what happens after the excitement of a relationship has settled into everyday life.

The role also marks another romance-focused transformation for Seo Kang Joon. After his post-military return in Undercover High School and his appearance in Netflix’s Monthly Boyfriend, he is now taking on a character built around quieter and more complicated emotions.

With its first episode focusing on the uncomfortable reality of a decade-long relationship reaching a turning point, A Love Other Than Yours is already drawing interest for the chemistry between Seo Kang Joon and Ahn Eun Jin and its relatable approach to long-term love.
