CORTIS member Martin opened up about his unique fashion choices and experience attending a luxury fashion event in Europe.
During the August 5 broadcast of MBC’s Radio Star, Martin appeared alongside Choi Won Young, Lee Tae Ran, and Bada for a fashion-themed episode.
When Kim Gu Ra mentioned that Martin was known for his style overseas, the idol shared that he attended a luxury brand’s fashion week for the first time in June.
Martin said, “People jokingly called me ‘giraffe’ or ‘Maltin’ because I am tall, but when I tried on the clothes at fashion week, they fit the models’ body types perfectly. It was a new and great experience.”
He also revealed that he is currently 190.5 centimeters tall and does not expect to grow further.
Martin explained, “I do not want to become taller. I had my growth plates checked, and fortunately, they were already closed.”
The conversation then moved to Martin’s signature sagging style, in which pants are worn lower than usual.
He joked, “I was once the leader of sagging.” However, he added that he now changes his styling depending on the type of pants and sometimes believes wearing them normally can also look fashionable.
Martin continued, “At one point, I felt that I had to wear my pants lower than everyone else, so I lowered them below my hips. Still, they never completely fell while I was walking.”
He also explained that he carefully selects what to wear underneath when using the style.
Martin said, “When I wear my pants low, I choose specific underwear. I usually wear plain black designs or boxer-style underwear.”
Choi Won Young then shared that sagging was also popular when he was in high school, but joked that people at the time were not as skilled at keeping their pants in place.
Yoo Se Yoon added humorously, “Isn’t holding them up when they start falling also part of the style?”
