Actress Im Soo Hyang honestly shared how her ideal type has changed and selected Super Junior’s Kim Heechul as the person closest to what she now values in a partner.
Im Soo Hyang appeared as a special host on the August 2 episode of SBS’s My Little Old Boy.
Seo Jang Hoon recalled that during her previous appearance, she described her ideal type as someone who gave her an immediate spark. He then asked why her preferences had changed so much.
Im Soo Hyang clarified that no particular incident caused the change.
She said, “When I was younger, I liked someone who gave me a fluttering feeling at first sight, almost like fate. I also liked men who had good bodies and handsome faces.”
However, the actress explained that she now places more importance on personality and emotional compatibility.
She continued, “I realized those things do not mean that much. I now think a person’s inner qualities are really important. What matters more is how well we understand each other.”
Seo Jang Hoon then asked which of the male cast members was closest to her current ideal type based on their overall style.
Im Soo Hyang replied that she already knew all of them well but was especially close to Kim Heechul.
She said, “Personally, they are all older friends I know very well. But I am closest to Heechul. These days, I think I would choose the person I am closest to. That seems better.”
Shin Dong Yup commented that Im Soo Hyang and Kim Heechul had good chemistry together.
She agreed and jokingly added, “That is true. Also, rumors never start between Heechul and me.”
Her playful response brought laughter to the studio and showed that the conversation was a casual exchange between longtime friends rather than a serious romantic announcement.
