Netflix’s dating reality show “Better Late Than Single 2” introduced a new contestant who is gaining attention for her honest love for NCT DREAM’s Jisung.

Episodes 1 to 3 were released on July 7, introducing the new cast members for the season. Among them, 29 year old Jeon Seo Yun stood out after sharing that her longtime love for idols may be one reason why she has never dated.

Seo Yun explained, “I liked idols all this time,” adding, “People often say fangirl cells and dating cells are similar.”

She also opened up about why she decided to join the show, saying, “After winter passes, the first digit of my age will change, and I am at an age where I should start thinking about things like marriage. I thought this kind of arranged meeting was something I needed, so I decided to apply.”

Seo Yun then showed her treasured fan items, including signed CDs, photo cards she carries like lucky charms, limited birthday goods, and concert tickets. She also shared, “If there is a concert overseas, I even leave the country with them and watch the performance.”

The studio became even more surprised during a balance game with Lee Eun Ji. When asked to choose between attending her favorite NCT member’s birthday party or going on a first anniversary date with her boyfriend, Seo Yun picked the birthday party without hesitation.

Lee Eun Ji then gave a harder question, asking what she would do if she won a fan signing event for Jisung on her boyfriend’s birthday. Seo Yun answered, “I would go straight to Jisung.”

Her answer shocked the studio. Car the Garden reacted by saying, “This is a type I have never seen before. A completely new type,” showing his surprise at her strong idol fandom.

However, Seo Yun later said she could make compromises in a relationship. She shared that she would change her phone wallpaper if her boyfriend felt upset, and if an NCT live broadcast started during a date, she could watch it later.

Seo Yun also made it clear that she still wants to date. She said, “My desire to date is definitely 100. I have two tickets for NCT DREAM’s Nagoya concert in January next year. I want to watch the concert with my boyfriend and travel together”.

Her appearance is drawing attention for bringing a fun mix of dating reality show emotions and K-pop fandom culture to “Better Late Than Single 2”.
