Cha Seo An is gaining attention for her role as a new villain in SBS’s “My Royal Nemesis”.

In the Friday Saturday drama, Cha Seo An plays Mo Tae Hee, a third generation heir of the Mochang Group. Her character has wealth, confidence, strong ambition, and a fierce desire to win.

She is also moving forward with an arranged marriage plan involving Cha Se Gye, played by Heo Nam Jun, while adding tension to his romance with Shin Seo Ri, played by Lim Ji Yeon.

In episodes 7 and 8, Mo Tae Hee started to openly keep Shin Seo Ri in check. She showed her ambition by saying, “I plan to put a crown on Se Gye.

I have that much power.” Even after Cha Se Gye rejected her, she did not back down and made bold moves, including spreading dating rumor articles.

Mo Tae Hee also showed a colder side toward Shin Seo Ri. At a brand launch party, she warned, “You are also starting to bother me”, making viewers pay attention to her sharp change.

Cha Seo An is being praised for showing a villain who looks calm and kind on the outside but moves carefully to get what she wants. Her character is adding more tension to the story without revealing too much of the plot.

Meanwhile, “My Royal Nemesis” continues to rise in popularity. Episode 8 recorded its highest rating yet at 10.4%, marking 4 straight weeks of strong growth.

The drama also ranked No. 1 in the TV OTT integrated buzz category in its 4th week and placed No. 3 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non English Shows weekly viewing chart.

“My Royal Nemesis” airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM KST on SBS.
