SBS’s Friday Saturday drama “My Royal Nemesis” continues to rise as Lim Ji Yeon and Heo Nam Jun’s romance officially begins.
According to Nielsen Korea, episode 6 of “My Royal Nemesis,” which aired on May 23, recorded a peak rating of 11.9%. It also reached 10.3% nationwide and 10.0% in the metropolitan area, breaking its own highest rating for the sixth episode in a row.
The drama also ranked No. 1 among Saturday mini series, No. 1 among all mini series aired during the week, and No. 1 in its time slot. Among viewers aged 20 to 49, the episode recorded a peak rating of 4.3% and an average of 3.3%, proving its strong buzz.

The episode followed Shin Seo Ri, played by Lim Ji Yeon, and Cha Se Gye, played by Heo Nam Jun, after their dangerous electric shock accident. After waking up in the hospital, the two worried about each other first, showing that their feelings were already growing stronger.
At the same time, Cha Se Gye discovered that someone had changed his medicine. He began to suspect Cha Moon Do, played by Jang Seung Jo, and secretly ordered an investigation. Shin Seo Ri also started to worry that Cha Moon Do might be targeting Cha Se Gye, making her decide to protect him.
The episode mixed tension with comedy as Cha Se Gye could not hide his feelings for Shin Seo Ri during her first advertisement shoot. When he saw her goddess concept outfits, he became jealous and shouted, “Change the outfit right now.” He later revealed his true feelings in front of the staff, saying, “Right now, I can only see this woman!”
A misunderstanding later hurt Shin Seo Ri. After she got lost in the forest while helping an elderly person, Cha Se Gye found her and hugged her, but his worry came out as anger. Shin Seo Ri asked, “Are you this angry because you were worried about me?” However, his harsh words left her upset.
The biggest moment came near the end of the episode by the night sea. Shin Seo Ri tried to push Cha Se Gye away, saying, “I am already fine. So do not feel sorry.” But Cha Se Gye honestly confessed, “Even if I go back, I will look for you like a crazy person again.” He added, “This is my real feeling.”
Shin Seo Ri tried to deny her feelings, but she finally grabbed Cha Se Gye’s wrist as he was about to leave. Cha Se Gye then said, “You grabbed me first,” before kissing her wrist and giving her a surprise kiss.
The epilogue also showed the past life connection between Lee Hyun, played by Heo Nam Jun, and Kang Dan Shim, played by Lim Ji Yeon. Their warm but sad bond added more curiosity about how their fate will continue in the present.
After the broadcast, viewers reacted strongly online, saying, “This drama is crazy,” “It has been a long time since my heart fluttered like this,” “There is not a single scene that is not funny,” and “I hope Seo Ri is happy in this life.”
“My Royal Nemesis” airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM.
