Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon opened up about marriage and her hopes for the future.
On the May 6 broadcast of tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block,” Hyoyeon appeared with Yuri and Sooyoung as part of Girls’ Generation’s “Hyo Ri Soo” unit. During the episode, Hyoyeon talked about still living in the dorm and shared her thoughts after Tiffany became a married member of the group.
When Yoo Jae Suk mentioned that Hyoyeon has lived in the dorm for around 20 years, she explained, “I just lived without thinking much, and one by one, the members left on their own. It was not that I wanted to be alone.”
Hyoyeon also thanked her company for keeping the dorm available for her. She said she does not pay monthly rent and is grateful for the support, adding that she works hard through activities such as overseas tours.
The conversation then turned to Tiffany’s marriage. Hyoyeon said, “We are not that young anymore. I am really thankful that Tiffany went first.” She added, “Someone had to open the way.”
Yuri also shared that the members have started to think about marriage more, saying they sometimes ask themselves, “What are we doing?”
Hyoyeon then honestly revealed her own hopes, saying, “I have a dream of having many children. I really love babies, so I think I need to start dating quickly.”
She added with confidence, “I believe words can come true, so I think I am next.”
Her honest comments gained attention from fans, who were touched by the members speaking openly about marriage, family, and their lives after many years together.
