
Kim Kwang Jin showed his appreciation for younger artists during his appearance on KBS 2TV’s 'The Seasons Sung Si Kyung’s Eardrum Boyfriend.'
On the May 1 broadcast, Kim Kwang Jin performed his well-known song “Letter” and shared that it had been a long time since he sang it on TV. He said, “I think it has been about 20 years since I sang it on a broadcast.”
He also talked honestly about watching himself on past broadcasts, saying, “When I watched myself on TV in the past, I often felt like I wanted to hide in a mouse hole.”

Kim Kwang Jin then revealed that he is currently taking vocal lessons, adding that his teacher tells him to sing like Sung Si Kyung.
Sung Si Kyung warmly responded, “I always tell my juniors that they should make an effort to sing like Kim Kwang Jin.”

Kim Kwang Jin also thanked younger singers who have covered his songs. He said more young people now come to his concerts because of them, sharing, “That is thanks to my juniors.”
He then praised AKMU, saying, “AKMU is so good.” He also mentioned fans’ reactions, adding, “People in the comments said it would be nice if I worked with Chan Hyuk.”
Kim Kwang Jin ended by saying he feels happy because younger artists helped bring attention back to his music.
