BTS’s Jin is drawing attention after fans noticed that his name does not appear anywhere in the songwriting or composing credits for the group’s new album ‘ARIRANG,’ leading to an emotional explanation from the members during a recent live broadcast.

On March 20, BTS held a live broadcast titled ‘Studio Note ARIRANG’ through Weverse, where the members shared behind the scenes stories about the making of their newly released 5th full album ‘ARIRANG.’

The album features 14 tracks, including the title song ‘SWIM,’ and several BTS members were credited for participating in the writing and composition of different songs. RM, who is credited on the title track, along with SUGA, J-Hope, Jungkook, V, and Jimin, all appeared in the album credits.

However, fans quickly noticed that Jin’s name was missing from all 14 tracks, which sparked curiosity during the broadcast.

Addressing the topic directly, RM explained that the timing simply did not work out. He said, “If Jin hyung’s tour had ended a little earlier, he would have been able to do more with us. That’s what’s disappointing.”

The other members also gave more context about how packed Jin’s schedule had been. V shared that although there was time when they could have worked together, Jin “was not in the best condition” and was still continuing his tour.

Jungkook also pointed out how busy Jin had been, joking that he seemed to be constantly going somewhere even before joining them.

Rather than making it a negative issue, the members turned the moment into one of appreciation. RM and Jimin praised Jin for everything he had done during BTS’s military hiatus, telling him, “You worked so hard,” and “Because you protected the team, this album was able to come out.”

Jungkook also showed support by patting Jin on the shoulder, while Jin responded warmly and smiled, saying, “I’m happy that so many great songs came out.”

Jin reportedly joined BTS’s song camp in the United States later than the others because his solo world tour schedule overlapped, which is why he was unable to take part in the album’s lyric writing and composition process this time.

Since completing his military service in June 2024, Jin has remained one of BTS’s busiest members, balancing his first solo album, his own content projects, a solo world tour, and multiple variety and YouTube appearances during the group’s hiatus.

Now, what first looked like a surprising absence in the credits is instead becoming an emotional reminder to fans of just how much Jin has been doing behind the scenes to help carry BTS through a very busy chapter.
