Actor Gong Yoo has shared a heartfelt farewell to his beloved pet cat Kong Kong, looking back on the memories they created together.
On August 12, Gong Yoo posted several photos on his social media along with an emotional message dedicated to Kong Kong.
He wrote, “Because you were my first, I worried about you even more. I liked that you were similar to me, though I don’t know how you felt about that.”
Gong Yoo continued, “Thank you for staying by my side for such a long time. Let’s definitely meet again. I miss you.”
The photos showed different moments Gong Yoo shared with Kong Kong over the years. Some captured him holding the cat in his arms or letting Kong Kong sit comfortably on his lap while he looked at the pet affectionately.
Another photo showed Gong Yoo gently caring for Kong Kong while the cat appeared unwell, reflecting the close bond they shared.
He also left a simple message for his longtime companion, writing, “I love you, Kong Kong.”
Through the photos and words, Gong Yoo remembered the time they spent together and expressed his gratitude for having Kong Kong by his side.
Meanwhile, Gong Yoo is set to begin an Asia fan meeting tour in Yokohama, Japan, this October. He is also preparing for the release of the upcoming Netflix series Tantara, in which he stars alongside Song Hye Kyo.
