BLACKPINK member Rosé has personally apologized to fans following concerns surrounding the group’s 10th anniversary celebration, saying she felt sorry that some BLINKs were left disappointed during what was meant to be a meaningful milestone.
Rosé recently shared a message through a fan platform, explaining that she had spent several days thinking about what to say.
She wrote, “BLINK, I had a lot on my mind over the past few days, so I couldn’t write this sooner.”
Rosé said BLACKPINK’s 10th anniversary was something she had also been looking forward to and acknowledged that the celebration did not unfold exactly as she had hoped.
She continued, “I think I also felt disappointed because I had been waiting for this 10th anniversary just as much as BLINK. It wasn’t because I couldn’t understand how the fans felt. Rather, I related to those feelings so much that it took me some time to organize what I wanted to say.”
She added that the delay in speaking may have made fans feel even more alone, saying, “That made my heart feel heavy. I wanted to share my sincere feelings with BLINK, even if it is a little late.”
BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa held a special 10th anniversary Meet & Greet at the National Museum of Korea in Seoul on August 8, where they met 40 fans.
However, some fans expressed frustration before the event after details were reportedly announced only two days beforehand. There was also uncertainty over which members would attend, with reports initially suggesting that only some members might participate.
Rosé’s attendance became a particular source of confusion after speculation spread that she would not be present. Her agency later clarified that she would attend the event.
Reflecting on the milestone, Rosé emphasized how meaningful the past decade with BLINK has been to her.
She wrote, “The 10 years that I have grown through, cherished, and walked together with BLINK also mean so much to me. More than anything, I wanted us to celebrate together.”
Rosé added, “I hoped that at least on August 8, all of us could smile and have a happy day together, but things didn’t go the way I hoped, so I’m filled with regret and apologies.”
She concluded by thanking the fans who came to see BLACKPINK despite the hot weather.
“I’m sincerely thankful to all the BLINKs who came to see us even in this heat. I was really happy to meet you again after such a long time, and I also want to say that I’m sorry.”
Jisoo had also addressed fans following the anniversary event. In her own message, she stressed that all four members deeply care about BLINK and asked fans not to attach additional meanings to footage of her becoming emotional afterward.
Jisoo wrote, “I just want to say that all four of us love everyone so, so, so much and that you are incredibly precious to us.”
Regarding her tears, she added, “I hope people don’t give my tears too many different meanings. I just want to gather all those emotions together and remember them as being moved by the fact that we have spent 10 years together.”
BLACKPINK debuted on August 8, 2016, and officially celebrated their 10th anniversary on August 8, 2026.
