“There was a time that was extremely hard for me,” she said. “I really had moments when I thought, ‘I want to die.’”

Goo Hye Sun recalled how she saw people skydiving while driving one day and decided impulsively to try it herself. “Seven of us got on the helicopter, and it felt like we were all people who wanted to die,” she said.

However, everything changed at the moment she was told to jump. “They told us to jump one by one, and at that moment, all the different parts of me were saying, ‘I want to live.’” She continued, “The moment I jumped, I really wanted to live. In those few seconds, I realized that I was not someone who truly wanted to die. All seven of us shouted, ‘We’re glad we’re alive.’”

After that experience, she said her mindset shifted. “I believe that things become what you believe in. You should believe in yourself and become your own best friend,” she shared. She added that the future is unpredictable and that she may face hardships again, but even in discouragement, she tries to hold on to hope.

Through her heartfelt confession, Goo Hye Sun reflected on overcoming a difficult time and learning to see life from a new perspective.
