Block B’s P.O shared a bittersweet but funny story about his past with Chanyeol, drawing laughter from viewers.
On the January 24 episode of tvN’s Amazing Saturday, Suho and Chanyeol appeared as guests and talked about their long connections in the entertainment industry.
During the show, it was revealed that P.O and Chanyeol once attended the same acting academy during middle school and took classes together for more than six months.
Chanyeol was later picked as a school uniform model and became an SM trainee, while P.O remembered feeling jealous when he saw Chanyeol’s photo displayed at a uniform store. Ironically, P.O ended up debuting first as a member of Block B.
P.O then shared a story that got the biggest laughs. He said that after academy classes, they would walk together for about three to five minutes to Yeouido Station, and that short walk was enough for street casting to happen.
He joked, “I was always right next to him, but only Chanyeol got the business cards. I was just standing there waiting.”
Host Boom playfully teased P.O by saying, “Try making a handsome face,” which made everyone laugh. P.O added with mock sadness, “They would tell me to work harder and leave, but hyung would just put the business cards in his pocket.” He then ended the story warmly, saying it was “a really happy memory.”
The lighthearted story highlighted both the realities of trainee life and the long friendship between the two idols, leaving viewers smiling at P.O’s honest and humorous reflection.
