Singer Jay Park has decided not to attend the Gucci Beauty House photo event that will take place on October 23, just a day after his appearance was replaced with Taeyeon.
According to event organizers, “The Gucci Beauty House event celebrates the launch of Gucci’s new perfume and makeup products. Due to program adjustments, the attending celebrity has been changed, and singer Taeyeon will now participate.”
This change comes shortly after Jay Park faced criticism for his song choice during the ‘Love Your W 2025’ breast cancer awareness campaign hosted by W Korea on October 15, where he performed his hit track “MOMMAE.”
Some viewers felt the performance was inappropriate for the campaign’s cause. Following the backlash, Jay Park issued an apology, explaining, “After the main campaign ended, I thought the after-party and performance were for the people who gathered with good intentions.”
He added, “I performed as I normally do. If any cancer patients felt uncomfortable or offended, I sincerely apologize.”
While Jay Park’s withdrawal from the Gucci event has sparked discussion online, fans are also looking forward to seeing Taeyeon at the luxury brand’s celebration.
