BTS’s agency BigHit Music has made a firm statement regarding malicious commenters and home intruders, confirming that some cases have already been sent to prosecution.

On September 29, the agency announced through Weverse, “Even in anonymous online spaces, actions such as insulting the artist, using offensive expressions, or spreading baseless rumors that damage someone’s reputation are subject to criminal punishment. Some of the complaints we filed last year were forwarded to prosecution in July with guilty opinions.”

They also addressed recent incidents involving Jung Kook’s home, revealing that there have been multiple attempts of illegal intrusion.

BigHit stated, “We reported these cases to the police and submitted evidence to help investigations. Some of these cases have already been forwarded to prosecution, and we will do our best to ensure the intruders receive strict punishment.”

Emphasizing their zero-tolerance policy, the agency added, “Visiting or loitering near an artist’s residence, leaking personal information, or any invasion of privacy will be met with strong legal action. We ask for your respect toward the artist’s safety and privacy to create a safe and healthy fan culture.”
