BTOB’s Seo Eunkwang is using his voice for a meaningful cause.

On August 19, international relief and development NGO World Vision released a campaign video through its official YouTube channel, showing Seo Eunkwang’s participation in the Self-Reliant Village Campaign.

The campaign is World Vision’s main project that provides full support for clean water, sanitation, health, nutrition, education, and self-sufficient livelihoods — helping a village become independent without outside aid.

Running under the slogan “Self-Reliant Village, from your STOP Ring”, the campaign uses a STOP Ring, a silver 925 ring symbolizing “complete support,” meaning aid will stop once the village achieves independence. The ring also carries the message of everyday sharing and has become especially popular with young people in their 20s and 30s.

Seo Eunkwang joined the campaign as a talent donor, spreading the value of independence and giving. In the video, he expressed his sincerity, saying:
“Why is it called STOP? Because only support can be stopped. Until the day when the village can live on its own, I will continue to cheer with the STOP Ring.”

To celebrate his participation, starting August 19, the first 2,000 people who sign up for regular donations will receive a special STOP Ring Kwang Package, which includes the ring, a photo card of Seo Eunkwang, and a silver polishing cloth.

Donations from this campaign will first support Mulenje village in Zambia, helping it grow into a self-reliant community, before expanding to other areas facing similar challenges. The project works hand-in-hand with locals to create safe and healthy villages where children can access basic needs like water, healthcare, education, and sustainable living.

Seo Eunkwang shared his gratitude:
“I’ve wanted to take part in a sharing campaign for a long time, so I’m very thankful and honored to join World Vision’s Self-Reliant Village Campaign. I pray that we can all share happiness together, and I will continue to support this cause until the day when support is no longer needed.”

World Vision president Cho Myunghwan also praised the singer, saying:
“The self-reliance of a village means children can grow up safely, protected, and free to dream. Through this campaign, we hope many people will join in sharing and agree with the sustainable value of independence. We sincerely thank Seo Eunkwang for participating with such a warm heart.”
