BTS’s Jungkook is once again showing everyone why he’s one of the biggest stars in the world—and this time, he didn’t even have to post a single photo.
On July 15, Jungkook surprised fans by launching a brand-new personal Instagram account under the username @mnijungkook, which stands for “my name is Jung Kook.” What’s shocking is that despite having zero posts, the account has already soared past 9.5 million followers, with fans expecting it to hit 10 million very soon.
The growth has been nothing short of jaw-dropping—6.8 million followers on the first day, 7.6 million by day two, and over 8 million by July 18. This only proves how powerful Jungkook's presence is, even with a blank feed.

This isn’t his first Instagram takeover. Back in 2023, Jungkook had another personal account that racked up 52.4 million followers—nearly equal to the entire population of South Korea. He later deleted it, calmly telling fans, “It wasn’t because of hacking. I just didn’t use it, so I deleted it.”
And get this—according to social media stats site Best Nine, an account with just 2 million followers in 2020 was worth around ₩1.7 billion KRW (about $1.3 million USD). Based on that math, Jungkook’s former account was estimated to be worth ₩45 billion KRW (about $35 million USD)!

But it doesn’t stop there. Even Jung Kook’s dog Jeon Bam is a star! His pet’s Instagram account @bowwow_bam currently boasts 7.7 million followers, making him a true celebrity pup.
Jungkook’s online power isn’t just limited to Instagram either—his personal TikTok has recently surpassed 22 million followers, proving again that he’s a world-class influencer across every platform.
Whether he's posting or not, Jungkook’s global star power speaks louder than words.
