BTS's V is once again proving his global star power!
As of July 24, V’s personal Instagram account has officially surpassed 69 million followers. This milestone comes shortly after he completed his mandatory military service on July 6, showing just how much fans missed him.
V and the other BTS members surprised fans when they opened their individual Instagram accounts on December 6, 2021.

Back then, V made headlines worldwide after breaking two Guinness World Records—he reached 1 million followers in just 43 minutes, and 10 million in under 5 hours, becoming the fastest person in Instagram history to achieve those numbers.
Since his discharge, V has gained over 2.15 million new followers, proving that his popularity has only grown stronger during his time away.
V made his official return to the spotlight by attending the Celine fashion show in Paris, France, earlier this month. He immediately grabbed attention—not just from fans, but from top names in the fashion world.

Anna Wintour, the legendary Editor-in-Chief of Vogue and one of fashion’s most powerful figures, personally invited V to the 'Vogue World' event happening this October. Other fashion insiders from Vogue also followed him on Instagram, showing their interest.
Among them are:
- Lisa Love, West Coast Editor of Vogue US and creative leader of the Vogue World event, who only follows V among K-pop stars
- Vogue Japan’s Fashion Director Emi Kameoka
- Fashion Editor Masayo Ugawa
- Fashion Features Editor Yui Sugiyama
- Deputy CEO Yuki Kobaru
Even Morgan Healy, the Global Entertainment Relations Manager at Tiffany & Co., showed love by liking several of V’s posts, including his appearance at the Celine show. This gained extra attention since V is currently a global ambassador for Cartier, another top luxury brand.
Meanwhile, according to marketing platform HypeAuditor, V is ranked as the most influential Asian star in the world, including in the U.S. and the U.K. He also holds the No.1 spot in the music category worldwide, and has the highest engagement rate, showing just how active and loyal his fanbase really is.
With fashion icons and luxury brand leaders watching his every move, V continues to show that he's not just a K-pop idol—he’s a true global icon.
