BTS's Jungkook continues to break global records and shine as a top solo artist!
As of now, Jungkook has officially surpassed 18 million followers on Spotify, becoming the fastest Asian solo artist to do so, according to global media outlets like Pop Tingz, Spin or Bin Music, and Pop Core.
Jungkook opened his Spotify account on February 11, 2022, and in just over two years, he hit the 18 million follower mark—faster than any other Asian soloist. This shows just how powerful his influence is around the world.

This isn’t the first time Jungkook has made history on Spotify. He previously became the K-pop solo artist with the highest number of monthly listeners, reaching over 40 million at one point. Even now, he consistently maintains 17.5 to 17.6 million monthly listeners.
All of Jungkook’s original solo songs have also crossed the 100 million stream mark, putting him alongside top global stars like Billie Eilish and Harry Styles.
When combining all his credited tracks, Jungkook has already hit over 9.248 billion total streams on Spotify. This is the fastest record for any Asian artist and also the first ever for a K-pop soloist.

Jungkook’s solo debut single “Seven” is also rewriting the charts. The song has spent 106 consecutive weeks on the Spotify Weekly Top Songs Global chart, making it the longest-charting song by an Asian solo artist ever.
His first solo album “Golden” is also breaking records. It has remained on the Spotify Weekly Top Albums Global chart for 90 weeks, the longest for any Asian solo album.
He also became the fastest K-pop solo artist to reach 1 billion Spotify streams with just three tracks: “Dreamers,” “Left and Right,” and “Stay Alive.”
“Seven” also broke records with the highest weekly filtered streams for a male artist’s track on the global chart, hitting 89.7 million, and it became the fastest song to reach 100 million filtered streams.
In total, Jungkook now holds four official world records on Spotify and has been recognized in the Guinness World Records.
With record-breaking streams and follower counts, Jungkook continues to prove that his solo career is just as powerful as his BTS journey.
