Released in November 2023, Jungkook’s ‘GOLDEN’ has now stayed on the Apple Music U.S. Pop Album Chart for 600 days, showing his unmatched popularity in the U.S., the biggest music market in the world.
Even after more than 1 year and 8 months, the album continues to chart strong, showing that Jungkook’s music isn’t just a hit among fans—it’s also loved by the general public.
And the records don’t stop there!
On Apple Music’s Worldwide Album Chart, ‘GOLDEN’ became the first and longest-charting K-pop solo album, staying for 594 days so far. It’s also been on the European Album Chart for 472 days, showing his influence across the globe.
Apple Music even featured ‘GOLDEN’ in its “Met Gala-Worthy Looks” list, making it the only album by an Asian male artist included—proving Jungkook’s impact goes far beyond music.
His solo debut single ‘Seven’ was ranked #41 on Apple Music’s Top Songs of 2024: Global, and he became the only K-pop soloist to appear on the year-end chart two years in a row.
In the U.S., ‘GOLDEN’ was named the best-selling K-pop solo album for three consecutive years. Jungkook also won Top K-Pop Album at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs), one of the top three major music award shows in the country.
On iTunes Worldwide Album Chart, ‘GOLDEN’ has been charting for over 410 days.
On Spotify, the world’s largest streaming platform, ‘GOLDEN’ made more history. It has stayed on the Weekly Top Albums Global Chart for 87 weeks in a row, the longest ever for any Asian solo artist. It also became the first Asian solo album to hit 5.8 billion streams on Spotify.
And on the Billboard 200, Jungkook debuted at #2, becoming the first Asian solo artist to stay on the chart for 25 weeks. In the UK, he spent 8 weeks on the Official Top 100 Albums Chart, the longest ever for a K-pop soloist.
With just ‘GOLDEN’, Jungkook has achieved an estimated 9.2 million album sales (EAS), making him the #1 best-selling K-pop solo artist in history.
