After 8 long years, 2AM’s Lim Seul Ong is finally making his solo comeback!
On July 15 at 6 PM KST, Lim Seul Ong will drop his brand-new mini album “Rainbow Light” through all major music streaming platforms, marking his first solo release since “Your Sea” in 2017 — which came out just before his military enlistment.
Fans have been waiting patiently, and now Seul Ong is back with a deeply emotional album that uses the themes of rain and rainbows to explore love, longing, and healing. The album features four tracks in various styles, all highlighting his signature soft and heartfelt voice.

The title track “Rainbow Light” is a romantic love song that captures both the joy and sadness of love. With an addictive bass line and a repeating melody that sticks in your head, the song feels like a rainbow after a storm — warm, touching, and hopeful.
Next is “Mist,” a cinematic pop ballad built on emotional piano melodies and rich string orchestration. Seul Ong helped write the lyrics himself, quietly expressing the pain of a deep and peaceful goodbye.
Track 3, “Image,” adds a modern rock vibe to the album. It was written and composed by fellow 2AM member Jung Jin Woon, and it blends powerful guitar riffs with gentle piano to show the complicated emotions of love.

The final track is “Rainbow Light (English Ver.),” a special gift for international fans. This English version gives the title song a fresh charm and proves Seul Ong’s dedication to connecting with global listeners.
Over the years, Lim Seul Ong has stayed active through 2AM promotions, collabs, and OST work, but this new project shows a more mature and personal side of the artist — one shaped by time, growth, and experience.
Meanwhile, pre-orders for “Rainbow Light” are now open on major online album stores, and fans are already excited to welcome Seul Ong back as a soloist after nearly a decade.
If you’ve missed his voice, now’s the perfect time to fall for it all over again.
