BTS’s Jungkook smashes records on Spotify with back-to-back milestones — fans call him “the global pop king”
BTS’s Jungkook is making history once again with his incredible performance on Spotify!
According to Spotify’s Weekly Global Charts (June 20–26), Jungkook’s hit solo debut single “Seven” ranked at #69 on the Top Songs Global chart. With this, the track has now stayed on the chart for a jaw-dropping 102 consecutive weeks, officially making it the longest-charting song ever by an Asian soloist.

That’s not all—his first solo album “GOLDEN,” released in November 2023, also ranked #70 on Spotify’s Top Albums Global chart for the same week. It has now spent 86 straight weeks on the chart, setting another record as the longest-charting album by an Asian solo artist.
Even while he’s currently inactive due to military service, Jungkook still appeared on Spotify’s Weekly Top Artists Global chart—marking 109 total weeks so far. That’s a massive achievement for an artist not actively promoting.
“Seven” continues to break records at lightning speed—it was the fastest song to hit 100 million, 900 million, 1 billion, and 1.1 billion streams, and it has now surpassed 2.42 billion streams, becoming the first and fastest song by an Asian artist to do so.

His album “GOLDEN” is also making waves with over 5.7 billion total streams, the highest ever for an album by an Asian soloist.
Jungkook now holds another impressive record—he’s the first Asian solo artist with three songs each surpassing 1 billion streams on Spotify:
- “Seven”
- “Left and Right” (with Charlie Puth)
- “Standing Next to You”
Fans around the world continue to celebrate Jungkook’s rise as a true global pop star—even while serving in the military, his impact is as powerful as ever.
