BTS’s Jin is taking over the world — again!
According to reports from June 30, Jin became the most mentioned person in the world on social media in just one week, with over 3.4 million mentions. That’s more than Donald Trump (3.2 million) and Elon Musk (2 million), proving once again that Jin’s global impact is no joke.
The spike in mentions came after Jin held his first solo fan concert, #RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR in GOYANG, on June 28 and 29. The concert was held in Goyang, South Korea, and due to explosive demand, a LIVE PLAY event was also set up at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium, where fans gathered to watch the show on a huge screen — and yes, it was packed with cheers and love for Jin.

Fans couldn't get enough of his stunning visuals and powerful live vocals. Social media exploded with clips, photos, and emotional posts, turning Jin into the hottest global topic.
But this isn’t Jin’s first time making waves. Back in July 2023, he also ranked #2 in global mentions when he joined the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics torch relay. He ran as the first torchbearer at the Louvre Museum on France’s National Day (July 14) — a rare honor for a non-French citizen. French magazine Paris Match even called him "the true prince crowned 235 years after the French Revolution."
In fact, Jin has topped many influence rankings in the past. In 2022, he was named the most mentioned solo artist in the world by NetBase Quid, surpassing major brands like Coca-Cola and Microsoft. He also ranked #1 for artist mentions at the Grammys and Billboard Music Awards that same year.

His music career is just as impressive. On May 16, Jin released his second solo mini-album "Echo", where he helped write 4 out of 7 tracks. The title song “Don’t Say You Love Me” climbed to #1 on Spotify’s global chart on May 25 — making it the only Asian song to top the chart in 2025 so far.
And the #RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR is just getting started. After kicking things off in Korea, Jin will head to Japan (Chiba and Osaka), the U.S. (Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, Newark), and Europe (London and Amsterdam) for a total of 18 shows in 9 cities. He’s also making history as the first K-pop soloist to headline London’s O2 Arena.
Can’t make it in person? No problem! Jin’s shows will be available via live streaming, and the upcoming Kyocera Dome concert in Osaka on July 12 will be shown in 43 CGV theaters across Korea, plus cinemas in 10 countries and regions.
From fan power to global headlines, Jin is truly living up to his “worldwide handsome” name — and then some.
