• Han Ga In Faces Harshest Backlash Over Parenting Style Making the TV Show Episode Removed - Here's What Happened

Actress Han Ga In has always been known for her pure, scandal-free image, but now, she’s caught up in the biggest controversy of her career—all because of her parenting style.

Recently, an episode of Yoo Quiz on the Block featuring Han Ga In was suddenly removed from the streaming platform TVING. According to Starnews, the decision came after viewers left a flood of negative comments criticizing her for being a “tiger mom” who allegedly pressures her children to study too much.

On the show, Han Ga In addressed the perception that she is too strict with her children’s education, saying:

"People think I force my children to study a lot, but that's not true at all. My kids are not the type that I can force to study. I only realized what I truly liked after turning 40 because I didn't have the chance to try many things as a child. I hope my children can discover their passions earlier than I did."

Despite her explanation, criticism continued to spread online.

The controversy first started after Han Ga In posted a vlog showing a typical day in her life with her two children. The video revealed that her daily routine starts at 7:30 AM and ends at 9:00 PM.

    • Her eldest daughter goes to school from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, eats dinner, and then attends a math academy from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
    • Her youngest son has a lighter schedule, attending kindergarten from 9:00 AM to 2:10 PM.

After watching the vlog, many netizens criticized Han Ga In, calling her “obsessed with education” and “too strict” on her children. Some argued that she was pushing them too hard, while others accused her of imposing her own childhood regrets onto them.

With South Korea’s education system already under intense debate, the backlash against Han Ga In only grew stronger.

As the criticism escalated, Han Ga In deleted the vlog from her YouTube channel and clarified the situation, saying:

"That vlog was filmed on a particularly busy day, but it's not like that every day. My daughter only stays at the math academy late one day a week. If our schedule were that intense every day, my husband and I would have been exhausted long ago. Also, I never force my children to do anything they don’t want to do. They are doing what they want."

Even after her explanation, many netizens remain skeptical, and the backlash hasn’t died down.

With TVING removing her episode, Han Ga In is now facing one of the toughest moments in her career. Some fans are defending her, saying that every parent raises their children differently, while others believe the criticism is justified.

What do you think? Did Han Ga In go too far with her kids’ schedule, or is she just a caring mother misunderstood by netizens?

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
