TWICE member Chaeyoung has announced a new chapter for her individual music activities, sharing the news directly with fans while making it clear that she plans to continue promoting as a member of TWICE.

On August 13, Chaeyoung posted a personal message to ONCE, explaining that she wanted fans to hear about her future plans from her first.

She wrote, “I wanted to personally tell ONCE, the family who has always stayed by my side, the news about me first.”

Chaeyoung then revealed that she plans to develop her individual music under her own creative world, saying, “I’m going to continue creating music activities within my own ‘LIL FANTASY’ world.”

The announcement comes after fellow TWICE member Jeongyeon also recently began a new chapter outside JYP Entertainment for her individual activities.

Chaeyoung expressed gratitude toward JYP Entertainment, TWICE, and the members who have supported her throughout her career.

She wrote, “I want to thank the people at JYP and the TWICE team who supported and believed in this mischievous me for 14 years.”

She added, “I also want to say thank you and I love you to our members who have always supported me and given me strength by my side.”

Despite the change surrounding her solo career, Chaeyoung stressed that her activities with TWICE will remain unchanged.

“More than anything, I want to say that I will continue my activities with TWICE as always,” she said.

Chaeyoung also described TWICE as an important part of the foundation of her career, adding, “I think the reason I have received this much love is because of the time I have spent promoting as TWICE, which is my root.”

She continued, “I hope both Chaeyoung of TWICE and Chaeyoung of ‘LIL FANTASY’ can continue to give you music that becomes precious in your lives.”

Chaeyoung previously released her first solo album LIL FANTASY vol.1 in September 2025. The album received international recognition, including a spot at No. 86 on Rolling Stone’s list of 100 Best Albums of 2025 and No. 7 on Billboard’s Best K-pop Albums of 2025 list.

Closing her message to fans, Chaeyoung promised to keep growing through her next challenge.

“I promise that I’ll become an even better person through this new challenge. Please continue watching me. I love you.”

While Chaeyoung is preparing a more independent direction for her solo music, she emphasized that her identity and activities as a TWICE member will continue.
