BTS's V is proving his worldwide influence once again! His digital single Winter Ahead (featuring PARK HYO SHIN) has climbed to 5th place on the UK’s Official Trending Chart.
On December 4, the UK’s Official Charts confirmed Winter Ahead's impressive ranking, highlighting it as one of the most popular songs currently trending in the UK.
The Official Trending Chart, updated every Tuesday, showcases the top 20 songs that are rising quickly in popularity. It’s known for its high accuracy, often predicting future hits on the UK’s main charts with an 80% success rate.
What’s even more amazing is that this milestone comes during V’s military enlistment, with little promotion for the song. Announced just a week before its release, Winter Ahead debuted at No. 1 on both the Worldwide iTunes Songs and European iTunes Songs charts. The song also claimed the top spot on iTunes in 86 countries, amassed 4.22 million streams on Spotify on its first day, and entered the global Spotify chart at No. 15.
The music video, showcasing V's emotional acting and stunning visuals, topped the TIDAL Top Video Chart in the U.S., adding another accomplishment to his list. V also participated in writing and composing Winter Ahead, proving his talent as a singer-songwriter.
But that’s not all for ARMYs! V’s next holiday treat, White Christmas, drops on December 6 at 2 PM KST. This special duet with the late American legend Bing Crosby became possible thanks to a proposal from Crosby’s agency, Primary Wave.
The agency shared, “We knew V admired Bing Crosby and believed his voice would harmonize beautifully with Crosby's. That’s why we reached out for this collaboration.”
