BTS Jungkook's 'GOLDEN' Charts on Spotify Global Albums for 36 Consecutive Weeks - First and Longest for an Asian Solo Artist

BTS member Jungkook's solo album 'GOLDEN' is breaking records on Spotify.

As of the latest chart (July 5-11) from Spotify, Jungkook's album 'GOLDEN' is at 22nd on the 'Weekly Top Albums Global' chart. The album, released last November, moved up two spots from the previous week, showing its lasting popularity.

'GOLDEN' has kept Jungkook as the first and longest-charting Asian solo artist, now marking 36 weeks straight on this chart.

Also, on Spotify's 'Weekly Top Songs Global' chart (July 5-11), Jungkook's single 'Seven' is ranked 40th, and 'Standing Next to You' from 'GOLDEN' is at 125th. These tracks have stayed on the chart for 52 and 35 weeks, respectively.

In addition, Jungkook reached the highest spot for a K-pop solo artist on Spotify's 'Weekly Top Artists Global' chart (May 17-23) at 84th. He has stayed on this chart for the longest time among K-pop solo artists, with 59 weeks.

'GOLDEN' is the first album by an Asian solo artist and the fastest studio album by an Asian artist to surpass 3.8 billion streams on Spotify. It also set a record as the fastest Asian artist's studio album to get over 600 million streams with three tracks ('Seven', '3D', 'Standing Next to You') and to have six tracks surpass 100 million streams ('Seven', '3D', 'Standing Next to You', 'Yes or No', 'Please Don't Change', 'Hate You') within just 202 days of release.

'GOLDEN' also became the first and longest-charting album by an Asian solo artist on Billboard's main album chart, 'Billboard 200', with 24 weeks straight. It stayed on the 'UK Official' main album chart 'Top 100' for the longest period of eight weeks for a K-pop solo artist.

On iTunes, 'GOLDEN' topped the album charts in 105 countries and regions after its release. It was number one on the Worldwide iTunes Albums chart for 14 days and ranked first on the European iTunes Albums chart for over seven days.

In the U.S., 'GOLDEN' set a record as the fastest Asian solo artist's album to sell over 900,000 units. All tracks from 'GOLDEN' have sold over 100,000 units in the U.S.
