• TWS Celebrates First Music Show Win with “If I’m S, You’re My N”

    TWS (short for Tours) has clinched their very first music show trophy since their comeback.

    On June 2nd, TWS—comprising members Shin Yu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihun, and Kyungmin—secured the top spot on SBS MTV’s ‘The Show’ with their title track, “If I’m S, You’re My N,” from their second mini-album, ‘SUMMER BEAT!’.

    The song notched up impressive scores in both album sales and digital downloads. ‘The Show’ calculates rankings based on a combination of album sales (40%), digital sales (10%), music video views (20%), broadcast points (15%), pre-voting (5%), and live voting (10%).

    In their heartfelt response, TWS shared, “Through our mini 2nd album ‘SUMMER BEAT!’, we aimed to showcase our growth. We’ll keep pushing ourselves to become an even better TWS. And most importantly, we’re immensely thankful to our fans, 42 Minutes, who support us wholeheartedly.”

    TWS has swiftly emerged as the “Rookie of the Year 2024,” achieving remarkable success within just six months of their debut. Their second mini-album, ‘SUMMER BEAT!’, released on June 24th, surpassed 500,000 copies sold in its debut week, nearly doubling their previous record. The album topped the Hanteo Weekly Physical Album Chart and the World Chart (June 24-30).

    But that’s not all—the digital realm is buzzing with TWS’s presence. Their title track, “If I’m S, You’re My N,” made its debut on the Melon Top 100 at 94th place (as of June 25, 0:00), steadily climbing to reach its peak position at 44th (as of July 1, 9:00 AM). The song also secured spots on the top charts in 10 countries, including hitting the #1 spot on iTunes Top Songs charts in three countries.

    On the same eventful day, TWS delivered a powerful performance of “If I’m S, You’re My N” and their track “Double Take.” The dynamic choreography of “Double Take” held viewers spellbound, setting the stage for the refreshing and sharp moves of “If I’m S, You’re My N.”

    This performance, featuring diverse pair dances among three members each and dynamic choreography involving all six members, received acclaim for infusing the songs with clear and invigorating energy.

    Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

    On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

    During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

    He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

    The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

    “I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

    He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

    “In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

    Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
